The PartyPoker.com Million II (March 1-8, 2003) will be held aboard a Caribbean Cruise on Holland Cruise Line's,
Ms Zandaam. The event will be hosted by PartyPoker.com and will be staffed by Card Player Cruises.
It will also be a televised event on the World Poker Tour (WPT).
The estimated prize pool is $1,500,000!
How You Can Play in the Finals of the PartyPoker.com Million II
You may win a PartyPoker.com Semi-final, a PartyPoker.com Super Satellite, or buy an entry into the Finals.
(Depending on the number of qualifiers on PartyPoker.com, space may be limited for those buying directly into the Finals and will be sold on
a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Preliminaries consist of One-table $25 buy-in PartyPoker Million tournaments.
- Seating at the table is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The tournament will start within seconds of 10 players being seated.
- To advance to the Semi-finals, you MUST win your table. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers win a FREE entry into another $25 buy-in PartyPoker Million tournament.
- You may play as many PartyPoker Million tournaments as you wish (and may qualify and play in four (4) Semi-final tournaments in the next set of Semi-finals in Jan 30-Feb 2).
- Registration for PartyPoker Million tournaments starts at the top of the hour (24/7) until 15 minutes past the hour (or slightly longer if players are waiting for a few more players). If you wish to play a PartyPoker Million tournament and qualify for the Semi-finals, please go to the Lobby at the top of the hour to play $25 PartyPoker Million tournaments.
- You may play Limit or No Limit Hold'em PartyPoker Million tournaments to qualify for the Semi-finals. (The choice is yours.)
- Misbehavior, collusion, and/or abuse of chat privileges will not be tolerated. Violators are subject to penalities (including disqualification).
- The game is Limit Hold'em.
- All seating will be randomly assigned.
- Play begins at 9:00 p.m. EST every day for the last set of Semi-finals (Jan 30-Feb 2). If you are not there when the tournament starts, you will be blinded off.
- Players may buy directly into each Semi-finals for $200.
- Extra Starting Chips: Players may accrue Extra Starting Chips for the Semi-finals by playing in Real Money games/tournaments on PartyPoker.com. Click here for details. To see how many Extra Starting Chips you have accrued, go to www.partypoker.com, click My Account, put in your User Name and Password, and click Extra Starting Chips.
- Players will start each Semi-final with a base amount of $1000 in chips (and not more than $3000, depending on their Extra Starting Chips).
- The format is a Multi-table tournament. With the exceptions noted here (such as length of time per Level and Prize Distribution), the standard Multi-table tournament rules and procedures will apply. Click here for more details about Standard Tournament Rules.
- The Semi-finals will work like a Super Satellite in that as many players as possible will win a seat into the Finals. Package value of winning a Semi-final tournament = $7200.
- For every entry, $180 will be in the prize pool. For every 40 entries, one seat (i.e., "Cruise Package" - which includes a cruise for two and a paid entry into the Finals) will be awarded. Any remaining monies will be paid to the next three highest finishers on a 50%, 30%, 20% ratio.
- Players who win a Semi-final may not sell, award, or transfer their seat in the Finals.
- Players who win more than one seat into the Finals of the PartyPoker.com Million II may sell, award, or transfer additional seats they have won to whomever they wish.
- There are no Tournament Entry refunds for those unable to make it on the cruise. (Depending on when you cancel, you can get your cruise costs back minus late cancellation charges. Contact www.cardplayercruises.com for cancellation refund information.)
- Players may select their day(s) of play and how they wish to divide their Extra Starting Chips by going to My Account on the website. (Players will receive a mail confirming the selection of their day(s) of play and the number of chips they will start with in each Semi-final.)
- Those who do not select their Day(s) of play will be assigned their date(s) to play and be notified accordingly. Those who do not indicate how they would like their Extra Starting Chips to be divided will have them divided equally among the number of Semi-finals they are playing.
- The deadline for qualifying and the last day to accrue Extra Starting Chips for the last set of Semi-finals is Jan 28, 2003 (11:59 pm EST).
- The deadline to select your day(s) of play and how you wish to distribute your Extra Starting Chips for the last set of Semi-finals is 11:59 pm EST Jan 29th, 2003.
- Structure: Limits will begin at $15/30 (Level 1) and progress as follows:
Level 2 = $20/40,
Level 3 = $30/60, Level 4 = $50/100, Level 5 = $100/200, Level 6 = $200/400, Level 7 = $300/600, Level 8 = $400/800, Level 9 = $500/1000, Level 10 = $600/1200, Level 11 = $800/1600, Level 12 = $1000/2000, Level 13 = $1500/3000, Level 14 = $2000/4000, Level 15 = $3000/6000, Level 16 = $4000/8000, Level 17 = $5000/10,000, Level 18 = $6000/12,000, Level 19 = $8000/16,000 Level 20 = $10,000/20,000. - Time of Play: Levels 1-9 will consist of 20 minutes each. Levels 10-19 will consist of 30 minutes each. Play will continue at Level 20 (if it goes that far) until the conclusion of the tournament.
- Breaks: There will be a five (5) minute break after each hour of play.
- If two or more players go out on the same hand, the player who started the hand with the most chips will get the higher finishing position.
- There will be no deals sanctioned by PartyPoker.com in the Semi-finals. Anyone violating the "no deal" policy will be subject to disqualification
- Unethical behavior, collusion, and/or abuse in the chat area will not be tolerated. Violators are subject to penalties, including disqualification.
- All Semi-final winners will be contacted regarding cruise details. (Make sure your email address is correct.) We will provide you cruise information and we will need information regarding where you would like your cruise tickets sent, who you will be traveling with, etc.
- It is the sole responsibility of the Semi-final winners to get to the ship on time.
- Over $100,000 added to the Prize Pool!
- This event will be a televised event on the World Poker Tour (WPT).
- Players may enter the Finals of the PartyPoker.com Million by winning a Semi-final, a Super Satellite, or buy their way in.
- There is no entry fee to the Finals for those who qualify on PartyPoker.com. For those who wish to buy into the Finals directly, the cost will be
- For PartyPoker customers - $5200 - $5000 to the prize pool and $200 toward the cost of staffing the event.
(PartyPoker customers are defined as those who have played at least 800 raked hands and/or at least 8 PartyPoker Million Tournaments and/or at least 3 PartyPoker Million Semi-finals and/or at least 12 Real Money Tournaments.)
- Non-PartyPoker.com customers - $5500. $ 5300 to the prize pool and $200 toward the cost of staffing the event.
Direct-buy in participants will also bear the cost of the Cruise in addition to buy-in for the Finals specified above. Click here and an agent will contact you with details on how to buy-in directly.
- All entrants will be required to show proof of identification (and that they are 21 years of age).
- Card Player Cruises will staff the Finals of the PartyPoker.com Million II tournament.
- 3% of the Prize Pool will be taken out and will go to the tournament staff.
- The game will be strictly Limit Hold'em. Seating will be by a random draw.
- This event is a four-day Multi-table tournament. The format will be based on the number of entries and is yet to be determined. All players may start on the same day at the same time or play will be divided with half the field starting on Day 1 and the other half on Day 2. If the latter happens, it would work like this: a) Half the field will start play on Day 1 and the other half will start on Day 2. They will play equal sessions. b) Following play on Day 2, the remaining players will convene on Day 3 (starting with their respective chips from Day's 1 & 2) and play down to the final table (which will be six players - the preference of the World Poker Tour). c) The six finalists will play on Day 4 until the conclusion of the tournament.
- All players will start with $5000 in tournament chips.
- Structure: Levels will be 1 hour each.

- Behavior penalties (including possible disqualification) will be in force for misbehavior, unethical activity, abuse of players or staff, and foul language.
- All rulings and decisions by the Rules Committee (CPC and PartyPoker.com staff) are binding and not subject to appeal.
- The Rules Committee has the right to change or amend any rules, format, or procedures if they deem it's in the best interest of the tournament to do so.
- By playing in the Finals of the PartyPoker.com Million II, you agree to grant WPC Productions, Inc. and it's assignees all rights to any photographs taken or filming done on the PartyPoker.com Million II Caribbean cruise (March 1-8, 2003). You also grant WPC Productions and its assignees the right to use your likeness in any advertisement and/or promotion regarding the PartyPoker.com Million II poker tournament.
