PartyPoker.com is pleased to announce that Andrew N. S. (“Andy”) Glazer, “The Poker Pundit,” has joined the company as a consultant. Ever since Newsweek Magazine called him “a poker scholar” in 1999, Andy has been recognized as the leading writer-player in the poker industry.
He is the weekly gambling columnist for the Detroit Free Press, the Tournament Editor for Card Player Magazine, and the author of Casino Gambling the Smart Way. Andy was recently tapped to write The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Poker (publication Fall 2004), and – proving he can walk his talk – followed up his World Poker Tour final table with two championships in four days ($500 Pot-Limit Hold’em and $1,600 Seven-Card Stud) at the just-completed Austalasian Poker Championships in Melbourne, Australia.
Andy has been used as a poker Technical Advisor for both movies and television, including the recently released Stuey (where he had a small cameo role) and the 2003 World Series of Poker broadcast that has been so popular on ESPN.
Internet readers grew accustomed to reading Andy’s bi-monthly Wednesday Nite Poker e-newsletter. In February, he will be starting a new educational newsletter for members of the PartyPoker family. Welcome, Andy!
